Lawyers who read wills to families, what is the most interesting, bizarre, offensive, surprising thing you have had to read out loud?

My father was an abusive man. My mother and him divorced when I was 16. After I turned 18 he disinherited me and my older sister for choosing to live with my mom. I helped him with many projects over the years helping him to build his deck as well as build his shop (it housed 8 cars with tons of space) . We had been reconciled for more than a decade. As he got older I changed his oil for him as well as various other maintenance on his trucks. When he finally went into the nursing home his older brother arrived as he had named him his power of attorney and was living in his house. The whole time he was in the nursing home he would say cryptic things like I could be his power of attorney. A day after my uncle took up residence in his home my uncle put up no trespassing signs and would not allow me on the property. One day when I tried to stop by to pick up some stuff for him. I caught them loading up his belongings. When I arrived the next day at the nursing home to tell him they were there waiting. They told my father they were moving his things to protect them from being considered assets and sold by "lawyers" as they put it depending how long he was in the nursing home. When I tried to talk to my father about this he kept repeating like a trained parrot that his brother was his power of attorney and wouldn't discuss it further. I'd later find out they had been selling his belongings at the local flea market for money. My father was not poor. They were. He had a DNR and they waited for hours after he was dead to inform me to ensure I couldn't contest it. I never even got to say goodbye while he was still alive. My sister and I were handed the legal document regarding the reading of his will over his casket at the wake. We already knew by this point. A verbal argument broke out because of this. The next day he had a military funeral. My uncle arranged it with the funeral director that he be given my father's flag. In the end my uncle received roughly $400,000 dollars in assets. I was very angry for years. I eventually just let it go because anger is exhausting and life is long. No one can hurt you like family.
