seems like your problem was with the mechanic so not sure what you expected the owner to do. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, I am a professional mechanic and I try and be as polite and friendly as possible but you do not know how many times I spend 20 minutes talking to someone who did 10 minutes research online and is convinced that they are just as knowledgeable from that 10 minutes as I am from my almost decade on working on bicycles. Frequently the 20 minutes that I spend talking to that customer is 20 minutes that I really need to be focusing on getting work done.

Again I'm sorry you had a bad experience, maybe your LBS is total shit, but from my time working in bike shops all I can hear from your story is 'bullheaded customer wouldn't listen and is now upset because they were wrong'
