Look. First you need to actually know what you want to do in your life career-wise. Secondly, moving with a degree/qualifications that are in demand will always make it easier to move, find work and hence be more independent.

Have you had a look at the job market where your gf lives? What does your gf do professionally? What woukd you need to take with you to get a visa? What are the language requirements? Do you need to have savings? Do you need a sponsor? Etc.

I know you love your gf, but I wouldn't rush it. Focus on your career, and save up for one or two extended visits. Figure out what your best option is longterm. And yeah, talk about the worst case scenarios as well. What happens if you don't work out after a few months? What if you can't find work? What ic you get too homesick?
