Its utterly depressing we have people in power that are still in that demographic of conservatives, that are in love with the idea of returning Australia back to the 50's, where the church was intrinsically linked to every facet of our society (the community through the to halls of power). Happy to take money from the tax payer to boost private schools funding, putting more without the means to pay for education out in the cold, while sitting there making these high and mighty bigoted comments, failing to see their own misguided antiquated way of thinking, and how it actually causes more harm and makes our society a less compassionate, and harsher place to live in.
