I seriously don't undersstand why everyone has to make such a big deal out of trading in general.

I needed T5 powder to make 130 freeze traps since I wanted a stack, I couldn't make more since mine was up and asked if someone had some powder for me in exchange for T5 mech/twine. Someone would give me 37 for 200 sleek, I am drowning in sleek, so ofcourse I wanted to get my powder.
We walked up to each other, dropped the items, picked the other persons items up, and we each went our seperate ways.

It doesn't have to be so difficult, trading isn't necessarily a bad either. It's literally the fact all those 11 year old kids with 130 grave diggers have 0 morals.
