At least 15 dead and 60 wounded as Al-Shabab gunmen attack university in Kenya targeting Christians

Yes, I think the Qur'aan is the word of God and without error.
1) Let's see some verses from the Qur'aan, the inviolable word of God.

Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things. (2:256)

Say, "The truth is from your Lord": Let him who will believe, and let him who will, reject (it): for the wrong-doers We have prepared a Fire whose (smoke and flames), like the walls and roof of a tent, will hem them in: if they implore relief they will be granted water like melted brass, that will scald their faces, how dreadful the drink! How uncomfortable a couch to recline on! As to those who believe and work righteousness, verily We shall not suffer to perish the reward of any who do a (single) righteous deed. For them will be Gardens of Eternity; beneath them rivers will flow; they will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold, and they will wear green garments of fine silk and heavy brocade: They will recline therein on raised thrones. How good the recompense! How beautiful a couch to recline on! (18:29-31)

Say: O ye that reject Faith!
I worship not that which ye worship,
Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship,
Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
To you be your Way (religion), and to me mine. (Surat Al Kaafiroon)

Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish.
Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs. (88:21-22)

Those who believe, then reject faith, then believe (again) and (again) reject faith, and go on increasing in unbelief,- Allah will not forgive them nor guide them nor guide them on the way. (4:137)

And so on..... There is no punishment in this life for Apostasy. If I follow Islam, then nothing is to be done with apostates except to give them the message and allow then to accept or reject it as they will. The punishment will come in the afterlife.

2.1)
Remember We made the House a place of assembly for men and a place of safety; and take ye the station of Abraham as a place of prayer; and We covenanted with Abraham and Isma'il, that they should sanctify My House for those who compass it round, or use it as a retreat, or bow, or prostrate themselves (therein in prayer). And remember Abraham said: "My Lord, make this a City of Peace, and feed its people with fruits,-such of them as believe in Allah and the Last Day." He said: "(Yea), and such as reject Faith,-for a while will I grant them their pleasure, but will soon drive them to the torment of Fire,- an evil destination (indeed)!" (2:125-126)

Clearly this is about the Ka'aba and the punishment in the afterlife for those who disbelieve.

2.2) About 2:190, didn't you read my previous reply? :)

2.3) 3:149-151
O ye who believe! If ye obey the Unbelievers, they will drive you back on your heels, and ye will turn back (from Faith) to your own loss.
Nay, Allah is your protector, and He is the best of helpers.
Soon shall We cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority: their abode will be the Fire: And evil is the home of the wrong-doers!
Seems your quote is missing a bit.
If we refer to the Tafsir of Ibn Abbas, we can explain a few things...

[3:149]
(O ye who believe) meaning: Hudhayfa [Ibn al-Yaman] and 'Ammar [Ibn Yasir]! (If ye obey those who disbelieve) i.e. Ka'b [Ibn al-Ashraf] and his followers, (they will make you turn back on your heels) they will make you return to your old religion: disbelief, (and ye turn back as losers) duped for loosing both this worldly life and the Hereafter and also for receiving Allah's punishment.
[3:150]
(But Allah is your Protector) He preserves you and will make you triumphant against them, (and He is the best of helpers) He is the strongest of helpers.
[3:151]
Allah then mentioned the defeat of the unbelievers on the Day of Uhud, saying: (We shall cast terror) fear of you such that they run from you (into the hearts of those who disbelieve) the unbelievers of Mecca (because they ascribe unto Allah partners, for which no warrant hath been revealed) either in a Scripture nor taught by a messenger. (Their habitation) their dwelling-place (is the Fire, and hapless the abode of the wrongdoers) the dwelling-place of the unbelievers is the Fire.

Aha! The Battle of Uhud in 625AD (Nearly 1400 years ago), where the outnumbered Muslims had a decisive victory against the attacking hordes of tribes from Mecca.

2.4) 3:178 and 6:70 are about punishments in the afterlife for disbelievers like the other verses you asked about. Do I need to elaborate more?

Anyway, we are a bit off topic from the original thread which was about these scum who murdered a bunch of innocent people at university. Feel free to throw some hate their way. Their destination is hell fire.
