Least favorite fanbase in each relevant conference

Well, since you put it out there.

  • ACC: Virginia Tech fans trying to rationalize why their school refuses to play us. Honestly I don't have any beef with ACC schools so VT gets it by default.

  • BE: Georgetown and it's not even close. This program has sunk to a point where the only relevance they have now is as a punch line, but nobody seems to have sent the memo to their fans. They watch their team lose to American University in a 3/4 empty pro arena, then turn around and explain how their program is "above" playing traditional rivals like George Washington and Maryland anymore. Their AD will never fire Ewing because he fears reprisal from the old-hats in the Palisades and Chevy Chase who are still living in 1987.

  • B1G: In truth? All of them besides Penn State. There's a certain smarmy arrogance that comes from the fan bases of B1G schools that just rubs me the wrong way. But if I had to pick one I'd say Maryland, because it's a year later and their fans are still whining about Mark Turgeon. Terp fans have nowhere to channel their innate anger and rage now that Mike Krzyzewski has retired and Jon Scheyer doesn't seem keen on scheduling them anytime soon.

  • B12: Texas, and it's not because of how some UT fans are trying to preemptively justify the school keeping Chris Beard. No, this fan base wants to pretend that their school is a "top-5 job" with "no expectations", yet they figure Rick Barnes taking them to 16 NCAA Tournaments in 17 seasons was "not good enough". There's nothing I can't stand more than entitlement, and this fan base is just steeped in it.

  • P12: UCLA, since you seem to think that only the P6 are "relevant".

  • SEC: Kentucky. Oh boy, where to start? I don't have anything against you, UK fans. I really don't. But my god, the entitlement. Only at Kentucky would a fan base seriously consider firing a Hall of Fame coach with a championship on his resume and more Final Four appearances than any active coach not named Tom Izzo after an OT upset loss to an upstart Cinderella. "Fire Cal" was funny back in March, now it's just pitiful. Your fans are spoiled, and Mitch Barnhart is a bonehead.
