Leaving a 2 and 4yo with random woman (me) and her toddler.

I think the scariest parts for me is a “parent” is willing to leave their kids with a literal stranger and risk it:

  • There is a big chance they are doing other truly unsafe things with their kid. There is a huge difference between being damn tired and actually disappearing out of eye sight of your toddlers with a complete stranger for half of an hour. Damn.

  • There is a possibility that person might not actually be the kids’ father. I guess there is a little reassurance because the older kiddo called him dad it sounds like, but honestly? That can be coached. I’d be so terrified that those were abducted/trafficked children. Maybe that’s extremely pessimistic and unreasonable, but I just…I’d be questioning.
