Leaving communities defenseless against white terror isn't the answer.

Isn't it now just that you can't get guns if you're involuntarily committed?

Seems pretty sane for lack of better words, IMO. I think it's absolutely dangerous to remove the rights of someone who voluntarily commits themselves, because people that know that won't commit themselves when they need help. That isn't going to make any mental health situations better.

But if you legally have to go... that's a bit of a good line in the sane I think. You have to be proven to be a danger to yourself or others. If that's proven legally, that's about as good as you can do for drawing a line where the right to own guns should be taken away.

But still, I think it should be temporary, maybe with a later consultation and doctor's note that the patient is well enough not to be a danger to themselves or others anymore. I'm not sure if that's the case right now and that's unfortunate. People go through hard times and literally do come out of it.
