Lebanon's atheists on losing their religion

my 2 cents: I totally respect this mans decision on his beliefs... but the anger + hate he witnessed because of the protests boils down to more personal beliefs, humans, and how extreme others interpret religion / religious rules. & if he used to see people as 'infidels' / 'kufar' / whatever because they drink... that boils down more to a personal belief and the upbringing of islam in his own household I guess? I would never see any of my friends who drink as less than me or 'nonbelievers'. Also, him mentioning the point about alcohol 'killing' and making people 'rape' others... that's a bit far fetched but it's not completely unheard of. alcohol literally causes issues w/ ur cerebellum which disrupts the smooth, coordinated movements of ur body and you know how that goes when people attempt to drive and alcoholism is a real issue that can turn violent. idk. I totally respect his decision, not shitting on it at all but I think some of it for him can be environmental and his upbringing.
