it's close either way. For me it's neck and neck.

I'm still in the Jordan camp, but I don't think people truly understand how good Pippen was and how ideal of a running-mate he was for Jordan. He's probably the goat wing defender. Pippen was all-defense 1st-team for 8 seasons in a row. Pippen was good at everything, and he was the closest thing the NBA had to Michael Jordan during the Bulls' championship years. 3rd in the MVP voting in 93-94, behind Hakeem and David. GP was the next highest non-center MVP vote getter at #6. Pippen was truly elite, and he was an infamous bad call from dragging the '94 Bulls team to the Finals when their 2nd-best player was either Kukoc or Grant. That's ridiculous. Lebron has never played with anyone that good as a 2-way player.

I think that Pippen was better than Lebron-era Wade or Lebron-era Irving, both straight-up as a player and especially in the special synergy he had with Jordan. (Peak Wade versus peak Pippen is a good argument, and I probably narrowly give that to Wade, but he wasn't as ideal a pairing as Jordan-Pippen.) Create a test-lab ideal running-mate for Lebron and I think he matches the 6 championships.
