Lebron James takes $154 million, 4-year deal with the Lakers.

I'm not trying to debate. I'm trying to drop a bit of sanity in an otherwise insane context of sports economy. Why do you think this is so far up in the news of him leaving Cleveland? The context is that LeBron is a huge cash maker, and it's false.

Sure, there are going to be businesses that hurt from him leaving, but that's because they wedged all of their bets on him existing. The overall economy is going to be the same though, and it will only get better if we focus on things other than our sports franchises and nonsense.

Sorry, but being around sports fanatics my whole life, I hear this same topic over and over. It should not even be a discussion. That's my opinion. Local economies and sports franchises should not be a topic that gets as much play as it does.
