LeBron is leading the league in turnovers (tied with Boogie at 4.3/game). Will this have any impact on the MVP race?

You only get an assist without a made basket, so Klay shoots 100% on Curry assists.

I'm not sure you understood what I was saying. What is Klay's shooting percentage on passes from Curry that could be assists (potential assist)? This number is very important. If it differs greatly from his average shooting percentage, we know something else is in play. Also relevant here is his shooting percentage when assisted vs unassisted, aka catch & shoot.

From the NBA SportsVu data I can see that Klay has a slightly higher percentage of 3point shots which are pullups. Klay shoots 44.7% on catch and shoot 3s. Ariza shoots 33.6% which is signifiantly lower.

With regards to open shots... according to NBA's sports vu the numbers are closer than you indicate. The important category here seems to be what they call "wide open". Ariza shoots 37.3% while klay shoots 43.2% but has less "wide open" looks per game (2.7 v 1.9)

I also can't find any information about players shooting percentages relative to a given player's potential assists. Or average points scored on a player's potential assists while also accounting for the shooting percentage of the recipient. It's hard to draw any hard conclusions without this data.

It may also be important to note that you seem to be exaggerating the difference between the shooting percentages of the teams. The rockets show a total True Shooting % of 54.3 while the Warriors are only at 57.1 according to SportsVu. The warriors also general have a far higher percentage of assisted field goals than the rockets do (59.6 v 65.5) which makes it harder to isolate the effect of a given player on these numbers.
