There will always be idiots on the internet. Always. Internet trolls existed in 1994 and they exist in 2021 and they'll exist in 2099. And these campaigns to "end abuse" will do absolutely NOTHING to end abuse. Trolls thrive on attention and this does nothing but give them attention.

Was the abuse she received (as related to her gender) wrong? Yes. But honestly, she needs a thicker skin. I'm physically disabled. I have endured abuse my entire life. As a child, as an adult. If I whined half as much as Karen Carney did in the wake of one incident, I'd have a crappy life.

She's in a better position in life and makes more money than (I'd bet) ALL of the trolls that made fun of her for her dumb comments. She needs to learn the mental fortitude to ignore it. Be BEYOND it.

Unfortunately, there's more currency these days in playing victim.
