The left is already looking to 2024. Some want to see a Biden primary challenge.

Based on the real-world example of Loudoun, Chesterfield, Hanover, and Henrico counties in Virginia? That's your white center-right suburban vote, and without Trump's unpleasant rhetoric to not like, they made Glenn Youngkin governor. And they'll vote for president Kevin McCarthy too. Nobody who believed the critical race theory thing was ever contemplating McAuliffe in the first place. McAuliffe wasn't even a progressive, he was a bad campaigner but most Virginians, and most Americans in much redder states than this one where Democrats are defending seats, want toll roads, charter schools, and transphobia. Ask almost any upper-middle-class suburban white person, and they hate the idea of toll roads, and want to privatize the schools that in their district are probably fairly good even less. But when they show up to the voting booth, their decisionmaking process begins and ends with taxes on every single issue.
