If somebody makes you so miserable you go to a shelter, that right there is a good reason to question going back.

It was very hard for me to leave. I had and have no support. I tried to do everything on my own but I have a medical condition. I had no money and I couldn't keep my job.

We ended up getting back together during covid and now have a baby. If I wanted to leave now it would be very hard.

I believe he wants to change but he has a mental illness. It's not that easy. And just because someone wants to change it doesn't mean you have to put up with mistreatment while they figure it out. It's not your responsibility to give up your happiness for somebody else
