Left my first negative as a buyer.

How many transactions do you have? Can I take a wild guess and say between 10-100?

I've only 2 neutrals in the last 2500 transactions. One was last week. I jumped on the phone to the (surprise!) - kid - (who purchased on his mommys account). The other recent neutral was also..... <SUPRISE!!!!> kid - purchasing on daddy's account.

Both attempting feedback extortionist for nothing less than full refund, on perfectly usable new goods.

I notice holiday seasons tend to have the most problems, aswell - I believe this is because of the rise in younger users.

I'll be totally frank with you, you sound like the sorta buyer I'd promptly block, or may not even meet my strict buying requirements already.

No wonder the seller is pissed off... "lots of sales & only 11 negs"... you may ruin his TRPS which will effect priority in search results, resulting in loss of sales / loss of income - which means... (drum roll).... makes it harder to put the food on the family table for some!

My recommendation for you would be to politely ask them for a solution, tell them you are willing to accept a "revision of feedback request form".... and honour your word if the solution is acceptable.

Also, another thing I wanna point out - second hand goods.... what can one expect with second-hand rubbish. It's often used / abused / incorrectly & deceitfully listed (which, yes, is a reflection on certain untrust-worthy sellers, just some).

With the item smelling like smoke, well - shouldn't have complained about that unless the listing stated "from new, from a smoke-free premises".

Do you expect a seller to write the millions of variables in a listing, like "this book has never been pissed on by a deer", "this book contains a single character not printed correctly on page 307 of the 1,103 pages - it's the character A", "this book once spent a night on a plane in Jamaica", c'mon... be realistic.
