Freedom to bare arms isn't dying. That amendment was towards having a non standing army and became about having a non federal army, the National Guard. We let it become more about protecting personal defense weapons & hunting weapons because those were a large part of the militia weapons back then.

Freedom from oppression... doesn't exist. I'll remind you the Patriot Act was passed under Bush. Sure, Democrats supported it as well, but yeah.

Republicans are a bigger threat to all those things than Democrats. Mostly because Democrats are too timid to do anything.
