Left with no money following miscarriage and hospital stay - how do I make it to payday with the least risk?

My missus had a miscarriage the other month, and it took month for her body to sort itself out. We went to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, to their Early Pregnancy Unit which deals with this sort of thing.

The staff there were incredibly helpful, a lot of time we didn't bother with an appointment, we just dropped in and waited half an hour or so.

Regarding sick notes, it was really quick and straightforward, the staff knew what my missus had been through and generously signed off anything necessary.

If you've had a hospital stay, the hospital will have your records and ought to have be able to generate a sick note. Getting the GP involved seems like a waste of time when other medical staff can deal with your admin more easily.

So drop in to the Early Pregnancy Unit at whichever hospital is most appropriate.

This ought to be a throwaway, so I'll delete it after you've read it...
