Legal THC Question

THC can affect your body’s REM cycle. When you smoke before bed, you’re body spends less time in REM and doesn’t recharge as well. So while you may be getting plenty of sleep, the quality of sleep isn’t as good, and it can affect your the next day. This might be causing your brain fog. While people say that weed isn’t additive, you can still become dependent on it if you have anxiety or depression, and it’s not a fun road to go down. If you’re just using it to sleep, there’s a lot of other things you can do to help with that. Try taking melatonin 2-3 hours before you lie down. If you can, disconnect from your phone and other screens for 30 minutes to an hour before too. Read a book, listen to music, write in a journal. It’s also helpful if you can go to sleep and wake up at the same time every day, even weekends. Also, if you’re having a hard time waking up in the mornings, you can try a SAD light. It simulates the sun and tells you body it’s daytime and it’s time to be awake.
