People have to understand that because something is illegal in real life boxing that doesn't mean that it is illegal in Hajime No Ippo.

Except for punching from behind the referee (that didn't even hit anything) what Woli has been doing that has been claimed illegal for the fans has already have been done by someone else in the fight:

1. Showing the opponent the back: Miyata counter the opponent he was fighting right before Randy Boy Jr by punching, then doing a 180° turn and walks towards the neutral corner. There is half an episode where they talk about how great Ippo's hook are because he turns so much that he shows the opponent his back.
2. Bouncing in the ropes: Takamura did this in the fight against Eagle. He leaned on the ropes to gain momentum and propel himself forward.
3. Runing around. This is how Itagaki and Miyata box.

Now, this is not illegal but some people complained about how "hitting the opponent in the eye to cause an injure is not something that boxers do". Saeki did this against Ippo and Itagaki. Both Takamura and Eagle aimed for each other's injure.
