Legalizing All Drugs is Morally and Practically Beneficial

To a point. Take a hypothetical drug that in 50% of cases causes users to violently attack strangers. By your arguments, you should have the right to use that and then should just be held responsible for your actions. Well, great, in an ideal world, but that ignores the reality of the situation that something like that is now causing mass societal problems.

Take something like heroin. Heroin addicts cease to function in society and commit crimes to support their addition. I don't know to what level. I also couldn't tell you what the cut-off should be, but I can say at some point the public interest outweighs your personal right to have access to whatever you want.

Even the worst of currently available drugs though, legalizing (or rather, not criminalizing) possession and personal consumption leads to be better outcomes, because it allows people to get help. That does not at all mean it should be available or legal to distribute.
