The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild - E3 2016

Listing my criticisms in order as they appear in the trailer: Graphically I actually think Skyward Sword looks better. The art direction in Breath of the Wild seems to lean towards stylized cel-shading (which really pops when Link is walking through fields of tall grass. You can also see that the deer are vibrant and kind of artsplashy). However, this clashes with some other assets which are rendered more realistically, such as rocks/cliffs/castle, which don't have any of that nice stylized look. First minute and so are nothing we haven't seen before. Then it shows Link sneaking up on a horse in a field. This kind of gameplay mechanic is nothing new. Not that this makes it inherently bad, but I'm not gonna be wowed by a pretty common mechanic. We see a bit of climbing which again isn't anything new or interesting to me. Some of the scenery is really beautiful, but other stuff looks drab and not artistically refined (going back to the unstylized rocks and cliffs) Shooting a boar(?) with an arrow - standard fare, nothing new. Brush fire and cooking - kind of interesting? But it really depends on how it's used in the game. As it stands I'm piqued but not astounded. Using bees and boulders against enemies. Again, nothing new. Also, whenever these type of things are inserted into games, you use them once or twice, then find that there are more efficient ways of getting past enemies. Combat showcase - kind of neat, but coming from somebody who plays God of War, Devil May Cry, and Dark Souls, Zelda combat looks a bit shallow. Runic thingies - meh Master sword reveal - I get how this could evoke strong emotion in a huge Zelda fan, but for a non-fan it's just a sword. To summarize, I see a lot of mechanics that have been already used in other games and likely to better effect than Breath of the Wind will. The game looks fine; it doesn't look like a bad game. But it also doesn't strike me as very interesting. I'm curious to your thoughts if you disagree with me.

Edit: I'm being downvoted so I'm also posting my reply to /u/danklan
