The Legend Of Zelda Wind Waker HD [HERO MODE] Part 1: THE FEELS

I saw the unedited comments already and before I go on, I'm just saying it like I saw it. I'm not trying to side with anyone but if it appears to be the case, well sorry.

You completely derailed the discussion and argued as if you were trying to put someone in their place. You say it wasn't about who was right or wrong but you made quite a show of it like it was. He put some good points on the table alongside some bits of misinformation yet you ignored a lot of the good things he said, (or just didn't completely read his post, I know a lot of redditors do that) and retaliated so condescendingly like he was some ignorant troll purposefully trying to spread misinformation.

He did point out that you were being delusional about assuming that everyone plays PC and I somewhat get that impression from you as well, but only because I don't own one a PC and haven't played as many games. I only know a handful of open world games on consoles myself and never even touched Wind Waker, let alone hear of the "notorious" Daggerfall. I tried Morrowing, Oblivion, and Skyrim. Morrowing and Oblivion turned me off for some reason but I liked Skyrim because I just found it easier to get into.

I also tried a bunch of other games you mentioned in the past that just didn't appeal to me and found boring, but that's just me as an individual. He made this point as well when he started talking about "tastes" and different "demographics" though I'm not sure you can call those demographics, I can understand his point; different people like different things, but also only things they have tried. He made this clear when he mentioned "categories of individuals". If they haven't tried it, they can't like or dislike it. He did call you superficial, but I think he was just being too deep. He should've thought that through.

He did make an error comparing Wind Waker to ALBW which I'm pretty sure he thought you were talking about when you mentioned ALTTP and got confused which I happens a lot and was presumptuous to assume ALBW did better based on its time rather than reviewing the numbers. It did do very well for a handheld game though. Next time, just point it out. A discussion is only as toxic as the people sharing it make it. Don't get offended when someone calls you wrong. When there's a misunderstanding, point it out. No need to set anyone straight. This isn't a trial case so don't treat it like one.

"he insulted me on here and via pm."

In what way? I'm pretty sure if he wanted to insult you, he would have done it in those long essays he wrote. And if you consider that an "insult" I'm surprised considering you've been a redditor a little bit longer than I have. I've seen much worse than that which is why I haven't made any comments at all till my first post before due to the toxic environment created by many redditors. Maybe you were lucky enough to have such a posh time on reddit to even consider that an insult.

If you don't want to read a comment, don't bother replying to it then. Otherwise things get taken out of context, and then this happens. I've long lost count of how many times it did after my first month on this site.
