Legislators could return to Salem in August to tackle Oregon's budget, which is expected to take in nearly $2.7 billion less than forecast due to the pandemic.

Some version of the HEROES Act is absolutely getting passed prior to the end of July.

McConnell was holding out foolishly thinking/hoping things would magically get better, and to keep the up charade that the GOP are fiscally conservative.

Mnuchin has signaled weeks ago that another stimulus is coming and Trump is desperate for another $1200 check with his name on it because he thinks it'll help his election chances.

The extra $600 unemployment has been the major sticking point but that will be extended after the GOP throws a public fit about it. It's shitty to make us all wait and live with the uncertainty, but given the fact that Florida and Texas have had to reclose their bars it's now absolutely certain that the added benefits will be extended.

I'm as cynical as a person can be about McConnel, Mnuchin, and the GOP but given what has transpired in red states in the last week it's now in their best interest to pass another stimulus bill that includes another payment as well as the unemployment benefits.
