Legit question. Why "The Jews"?

Jews have been persecuted, enslaved and hated by literally every culture that has had to deal with them since at least egyptian times.

Jews have been 'the other' culture virtually everywhere they have gone. Or should I say we, being born Jewish but not practicing myself.

It is easy to always be the scapegoat when 1) you are the sole legal money lender 2) eventually debts get high and kings dont want to pay you back 3) you keep a secret language that others cannot understand despite being your neighbors for generations 4) You consistently have some degree of wealth/value wealth 5) (for a long time with christiandom) fundamentally disagree with the great chain of being.

Jews are a threat to an insular society, because they are another group, existing in the same space, and on average prospering more than the average non-jew.

It's quite like the freemasons, or even the knights templar, except without the allure to the masses that you might be allowed to be a part of it one day.
