On September 20th KST during BLACKSWAN's livestream celebrating the end of their comeback promotions, in a shock twist that has basically ended this whole BlackSwan nightmare bullying saga; Leia apologised to Fatou and Yongheun for lying about them bullying her. HERE's a translation of what she said from a Korean Stan who translated for us.
What's upsetting is remembering the extent to which Fatou was dragged with waves of racist hate. When black stans tried to defend her, they were told they were protecting a potential bully, gaslighted and asked to remain "neutral" ie silent.
Not only has Leia tarnished the whole brand of Blackswan as a "bully"/"problematic" group but she also continually stoked the fire by liking tweets claiming that she was bullied and hinting at the controversy whenever it started dyeing down by posting suggestively on twitter and instagram. Many of you may not know this but Blackswan were starting to pick up steam even in Korea one of their fancams went viral and has over 1M views (even if most viewers were only interested that a Kpop group has a black member...it's still something). Fatou was getting modelling gigs and a post on NatePann was made about her, celebrating her unique visuals...
Leia announced that she will be taking a "mental health break" and going back to Brazil which I believe is just code for leaving the group in order to save face. My question is why did she even lie? What did she think she was going to accomplish??
