Is the Leno or Martínez discussion necessary?

Leno has been doing what he's been doing for years, on the biggest of stages (CL). We know what we have with him is something that will remain consistent because he has shown consistency and he's also improving day by day.

Emi has been really good no doubt apart from a few small but eye opening positional mistakes. The recency bias is real. People suddenly want him to be the number 1, are fine to sell Leno but if all of this has just been a hot streak, we will suffer a lot then.

With Leno we have a proven world class goalkeeper, known for his miraculous saves, his perfect positioning and his amazing playing out from the back skills. People who discredit Leno by saying that we look shaky passing from the back with him don't remember that he did most of that under a 4atb system with fans pissing themselves and going "Oooooooo" Everytime we passed from the back while Emi has done it with a 3atb with more defenders, focus on ball playing players, Xhaka and Ceballos and all the other players in general understanding their positions while we play from the back in an empty stadium. This is something we didn't have when Leno was here and I can bet that we would be playing this well out from the back if not better if Leno was playing in the current system. People forget that this batch of German goalkeepers with MN, MATS and Leno are famous for how well they are with their feet.

It's Leno every single day for me as the number 1. Yes he needs to improve his areal abilities but he's in a tier above Emi. He's world class and I'm glad we have someone like him
