Les Leyne: B.C. Ferries is being yanked back to government control

You 100% don't know what you're talking about. They have 1-2 STATE ROOMS per ship. Those state rooms are maybe 100 sq ft, with a small couch, chair and small desk. The only bed on the entire ship is in the FIRST AID ROOM. The Sea West lounges for the few ships that have them All been opened at some point. They're closed now, and when boats with Sea West lounges worked on Nanaimo runs, they were often closed because of lack of demand.

The buffet is closed, and I can assure you that a soon as BC Ferries knows what's happening with the pandemic, they'll reconfigure, or reopen them. On extremely rare days where the passenger count actually gets high enough, the ship does open the buffet to extra seating.... That seating is so RARELY needed because passenger counts almost never crack 1000 on ships that can hold 1600-2100 people, (depending on the ship).

They do have a conference room, this is very much needed for the constant onboard training of current and new staff... But it's not an "elite" room.
