I've seen people actually go back into the closet not because they fear society at large but because the LGBT community has gotten so toxic and nasty to each other. It kinda seems like society in general has become the more accepting group.

But the original post actually kinda scares me. How is it unreasonable to not be attracted to genetalia that doesn't correspond to your orrientation? I'm not even saying you can't love the person on an emotional level but not everyone can ignore that you're just not sexually compatible. Sex isn't something you're simply entitled to based on your gender. Last I checked forcing someone to sleep with you is still rape.
