The statement that a woman can’t identify as a lesbian if she still sleeps with men is honestly pretty problematic. It’s basically an example of the very dated debate, imo, of what defines sexuality—attraction or action?

Most agree it’s attraction. Right? For example, you could never have sex with a woman and still be exclusively attracted to women.

But let’s use your example. There are many reasons why a woman might seek out sex with men and still not be attracted to them sexually. Validation, low self esteem, loneliness, just want to get off in whatever way they can..

It’s not fair to judge when you don’t know their motivations and can’t speak to their individual experiences. And if we are going to start judging women based on their sexuality and identity, we’re no better than the cis het men and women who do the same to us.
