Less is more

This post shows 4 photos of a laptop hooked up to a monitor. You're really making more out of it than it is.

Also FYI, spending thousands of dollars and just assembling a super rig together isn't impressive either. You're just "plugging in cables" but within a case.

Component selection and build quality is more impressive than buying an off-the-shelf macbook. I doubt you could ever understand that.

Design? Did you design that macbook? No. You bought it and plugged a monitor cable into it. Impressive? Not in the least - I am not impressed that you went to the apple store and bought an overpriced macbook. Oh, so you put it on a laptop stand! That's really some design, because everyone and their mother that bought a macbook has that same laptop stand. Oh, so you tucked the wires behind the desk? That's just being neat. Hm, that desk.. which ikea did you get it from? The monitor and the keyboard were also purchased from apple, so I see nothing creative that you did here. Nothing here is really interesting. I don't see much design. Where is the design you are so proud of?? Since when did buying apple products equate to having design skills? Please tell me, I'd like to know.

Just because you buy apple products doesn't mean you "think different". It sounds like you're another victim of apple's marketing department.

And I really don't care what you think about me or "imaginary internet points", bring on the downvotes because I could care less about what you think about my reasons for calling you out on your lame post. I only upvote the builds where people actually assembled their rig from parts that they carefully chose, with specs that make your macbook look like a pocket calculator.
