Less well known dangers in cycling? Discussion

that accident has nothing to do with clipless, and everything to do with how you manage your bike around vehicle traffic.

and one of the biggest dangers will always be a vehicle suddenly turning into you.

either a left hand turn in front of you, because of the a-pillar or just not seeing you

or a right hand turner, also not seeing you, or caring even if they did

or a u-turn in front of you

and it doesnt matter who has the right of way

use clipless if you want. and if you dont feel confident in traffic yet, you just have to take it slow and make intelligent decisions all the time. should i follow the rules here? is there not enough space on this block and i hear a large truck behind me therefore ill mount the sidewalk for a short stretch there? etc
