A lesson in Reflectix Insulation (with photos)

I've used solar blankets on any surface that can't be seen that has an airgap that can reflect back towards interior spaces. This is so it doesn't look like a grow op.

Behind drapes, blinds, wall surfaces behind sofas, tvs. Anything and everything. It does make a noticeable difference.

Anything that keeps heat off of insulation means that it can reflect back instead of 'warming up' the insulation and it slowly bleeding it out.

In a van build, I'd use it to line all the back walls of things like closets and cupboards and glue it to windshield shades to reflect heat back in for the winter.

At about 2c/sf, and some adhesive tape, it's a no brainer upgrade.
