Let Hartford get a Gamehendge suite!!

There were pretty brutal thunderstorms the day of the last gamehendge. Me and my sister almost skipped the show because we didn't want to get rained on, but decided we should go as she'd already spent $40 on the tickets and since she was going to college that fall and Phish was one of those cool college bands she was supposed to start liking we figured it was best to go. The weather mostly cleared up a couple of hours before the show. On the way there a bolt of lightening hit a tree across the highway from us. It was the loudest thing I'd ever heard. We got to Great Woods, got good and stoned in the parking lot before going into the venue. I watched my sister struggle with using currency to buy a t-shirt (on account of the being stoned), got myself the Pollack shirt from that tour (Phish The Taste Treat Kids Love) and proceded to our seats. The show started and we were enjoying ourselves and then the lead singer (a gentleman I would later learn was named Trey Anastaio) started telling some story, which I thought was pretty cool. The two girls sitting next to us freaked the fuck out and pushed us and the entire row about 10 feet to the left before finally regaining composure. It was at this point that I looked around and noticed the crowd was far more animated than it had been minutes prior. And you can understand, I mean, they hadn't done a Gamehendge narrative in like a week and a half. It clearly wasn't something they do every night. I can't imagine how crazy it would be if they did it again after 22 + years, as Great Woods nearly exploded when they busted it out after about 12 days.
