I guess I just don’t see what sets DS apart from every other Beats showcase they’ve played at, besides being a trance only fest. People have been nagging them for years to play “actual” trance again for years now, and between Jono’s social media posts and these two sets right on the eve of 2020, I feel like it’s a Prelude to next year.

Not to mention the notable change in tone in their sets since 300, as well as their releases this year. Distorted Truth, Waltz, Hideaway, and even Another Angel are all classic A&B to me. It would’ve been bewildering for them to release those tunes even just a few years ago. Hell, the whole label seems to be shifting towards less big room sounds and more trancey sounds.
