Let’s do a puppy hype post
I love how my pup leans/rubs against my leg like a cat in the beginning of a walk. I can see how it might be annoying to some people (can’t walk straight) but it makes me happy to know that he’s showing affection and joy whenever we’re going out together.
He’s surprising me with how protective he can be! When I got him he was super shy and submissive, but one time the door rang and gave ONE half-bark (like a breathy ruff) which totally surprised me because he was quiet 99% of the time. And the another time the front door handle jiggled while he was in his crate and he gave a little growl. I don’t have fears of him being aggressive or anything because when he can see another person on the other side of the door he’s totally calm and chilled out. But to see that he’s becoming so confident and even protective of his new home is really nice to see.
The way he naturally checks in with me on walks. When he isn’t over threshold, he’ll look back at me with a big goofy smile. He did this since our very first walk together and I just reinforced it since then.
