Obviously Ms. Wright has been very wrong here, hopefully she can be educated better by her co-stars if not her friends and family (who I sadly suspect are sharing the kool-aid).

But Letitia aside, I disagree with the numerous "stay in your lane" types of comments scattered throughout this thread, particularly in top level comments. Celebrities can weigh in on whatever topics they want to. They don't have to be qualified to have a public opinion and if they can back up what they say all the better!

More than that, celebrities bringing attention to topics is important when the voices of the experts can easily be drowned out by trolls.

But worst of all, it's a classic political talking point used to dismiss celebrity opinions so it's extra sad to see it being lowkey attached to so many comments on this news article under the guise of "Letitia was very wrong ^{also celebrities should shut up}".

If the plan here is to sway reddit opinion, well, one: I would hope most people already remember that it's obviously a political talking point and two: Telling people not to listen to celebrities... Here? Do ya'll know what subreddit you're even in?
