Let's agree on this now and not fight about it later

Ah, finally, I'm behind a proper keyboard so I can write properly. I do have a bachelor's, and WWII was my concentration. Please accept that I know a thing or two about fascism and fascists, to say nothing of the economic programs and scientific developments of the period.

"We are socialists, we are enemies of the capitalist economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions."

Though I know it is a meme, it is also a genuine quote from Hitler.

"The National Socialist State recognizes no ‘classes’. But, under the political aspect, it recognizes only citizens with absolutely equal rights and equal obligations corresponding thereto."

Mein Kampf

"After all, that’s exactly why we call ourselves National Socialists! We want to start by implementing socialism in our nation among our Volk! It is not until the individual nations are socialist that they can address themselves to international socialism."

-Hitler

For we [National Socialists] too are considered ‘upstarts’ and ‘leftists’ by those same reactionaries. They are only too eager to apply such terms as ‘enemies of the fatherland,’ ‘Bolsheviks,’ and ‘inferiors.’”

-more Hitler, the evil little bastard that he was.

I can also point out that the famed progressivist Franklin Delano Roosevelt's New Deal was basically the same public works program (CCC) as what was implemented in Nazi Germany to build infrastructure and armament to pull itself out of the depression.

Don't misunderstand me, I'm a progressive in the oldest sense of the word. I look up most to Theodore Roosevelt, founder of the Progressivist movement more than any other figure in history. Trustbusting, regulation of corporations, strongarm and gunboat diplomacy, someone who was above corruption and who the public adored through his feats of incredible strength and spirit. We could certainly use that right now.

Oyyyy you're farther gone than I thought.

What? You'd argue that Milo is smarter than Ben Shapiro? That's the only comparison I was drawing. Milo certainly comes across as intelligent, and he's definitely quicker off the cuff/has more charisma, but Ben Shapiro has the actual intellectual chops/does his due diligence. At no point did I call either of them intellectual heavyweights, I merely compared one to another.

That said, both of them look like geniuses compared to the people who try to jump up and disrupt/shout inane and tired talking points. Or to people who try to shame others for having different viewpoints than their own.
