Let's chat! Writers, tell me about your novel-in-progress!

Okay. This is about 2/3rds done for my first draft.

TL/DR : Magic Empowered Cow x Human halfbreed MC, Dragon jism empowered magic, space aids zombies, cults, and the best spring break party, like, ever.

In a post apocalyptic world that is just, so fucked up, the young dragon jism empowered boy named Jasper is one of the few hundred who has been selectively bred to not just survive but to thrive in this new world. After twenty-one years of living in seclusion where he was trained among others like himself to fight the deadly disease known as space aids Roak, he was given the title of Guardian and let loose upon the world.

Enter Leslie Bells, a lazy, self-centered young Barista in San Childs -- the newfound capital of California. And when the two meet, Jasper becomes the suitably cowed partner in Leslie's city-wide shenanigans that ultimately angers a Cult of Roak worshiping zealots known as the Knights. With the space aids Roak obsessed fanatics on their tails, things only get worse when it becomes apparent that something is stirring in the seas.

A love story about a young halfbreed man whose Halberd has more personality than himself, and a Barista who just wants to have, like, the most totally rad Spring Break party ever.

So. This sounds like a cluster fluck of different things. I'll be fully honest here, the premise comes from old story ideas I had. About three different ones.

I made a dumb bet with a friend online that I would finish a novel using my 'shitty' ideas from when I was younger and try to get it published. I -- I honestly have zero faith this could ever see the light of day without self-publishing. Soooo I'm going to finish it, edit it, and then think about all of that later after I have a 'working' draft and not something that literally contradicts itself four chapters in where I took the original idea from "Serious drama" into... this.

Still. It's the most fun I've had writing something in a long while. So I'm going to keep doing it, just because it's actually fun and not a chore like what I've been doing with my more 'serious' stories.
