Let's give the Clerics the limelight.

Just played a campaign as Myrius Creed, a cleric of Bane, the god of tyranny. Myrius was a necromancer who was secretly raising an army of undead to assist him in conquering the world for his god. Of course, he couldn't let his allies know his true goal, so he disguised himself as a lawful neutral cleric from a far away land who worshipped a mysterious god not known in this part of the world. His small personal guard of his strongest undead disguised themselves as monks of Myrius' mysterious order, Myrius explaining explaining that they had undergone a vow of silence, along with several other vows to keep their true identities a secret from his fellow adventurers.

Myrius' big moment came when we reached the end of a journey to stop an evil shogun's reign over the kingdom we had been traveling though. The shogun had been cornered in his throne room, his personal guard obliterated by our party. With his back against the wall, the shogun revealed his true form: a gigantic, chain wielding, abyssal demon. As the party prepared for battle, the normally quiet Myrius stepped forward.

"This is my kingdom now. Sleep."

Calling upon the power of Bane to back his command, the demon began to drift off into slumber. However, the demon was able to overcome the power of Bane, attempting to swat Myrius away with a swing of it's mighty hand. Myrius leaned back, avoiding the blow with an effortless, calm composure, before again shouting the word of power, this time with everything within him.

"SLEEP!!"

With this, Bane's might was too much for the beast, and it fell limp to the ground. As the rest of the party stood aghast, Myrius approached the demon and, summoning all of his might, snapped the monster's neck with a single motion. The kingdom was his.

God, I got so many amazing rolls in that encounter. Myrius' plan was soon foiled by several other members of the party who were followers of Cyric, mortal enemy of Bane. Though Myrius never accomplished his mission, playing as him was some of the most fun I've ever had in the game.
