Doctors are much more understanding of their situation, during medical school when you have no time to meet up because of studies or steps exam, people who aren’t from medicine background will throw tantrums that they aren’t getting enough attention. Post med school you need to do 3-6 year residency (6 year is for neurosurgery) where you are working 80 hours a week, non medicine background partners are always a drag to deal with because you have to explain your situation and in most cases they can’t accept that they will always be number 2 on your list. That’s why doctors always marry other doctor if not a doctor marry other high earners because they are also working a lot as well.
