ana only became outclassed after mercy rework.

ana was still being picked at higher levels of competitive play well before mercy rework and after her nerfs.

and yes i know she had slightly lower win rate than normal. doesn't mean she was bad. sym has one of the highest win rates at like above 60%. doesn't mean shes good.

its because said higher SR players have the skills to play ana/zen at an effective level.

zen literally has no mobility and he was still the most meta healer prior to mercy rework.

the secret is lucio. speed boost is your friend.

sorry but skill is the main reason why so many players don't play ana/zen. most don't have the skills to do it.

its the same reason why so many players don't play widow. its not because we hate her play style. we LOVE it. we just don't have the skills to be effective on her.

its the same thing for mercy players and ana/zen. just to a lesser degree because widow requires WAY more skill than ana/zen.

at the end of the day. its a combination of all 3: effectiveness. mechanical skill. marketability.

but its MAINLY the skill required to play the new hero and the marketability. the effectiveness is negligible. past situations have already shown that mercy players will still be playing mercy despite being the WEAKEST of the supports.
