Let's play a game

  1. Going behind the Valaritas door in the archives made Elodin crack. When Kvothe first asks Elodin what's behind it Elodins response is something along the lines of "thinking about that nearly killed me." I think he was being literal. Later when Kvothe breaks into Hemmes room Elodin says "doors are locked for a reason. People who don't have keys are supposed to stay out for a reason." Probably just in reference to Hemme's door but it might have had a double meaning.

  2. Auri was raped. I remember a quote from the slow regard where she says something about alcohol on the breath and unwanted advances. Then when Kvothe tells Auri that he has a friend that he wants her to meet(Mola). Auri asks "is he nice." When kvothe tells her that his friend is a girl auri relaxes without being given an answer to the question.

  3. No idea, but lorren asks what troop kvothes dad was in so if he knew him it was before he joined greyfallows men.

  4. Cinder was trying to get a hold of the lackless box. Makes sense because Melauns lands are beyond the place where the taxes were being stolen. Seriously doubt that someone as ancient and talented as him would have a hard time getting money. Unless cinder was just trying to put pressure on the Maers lands so that they'd revolt or something? Trying to keep people away from Felurians entrance to Fae?

  5. Before the Maer got sick he was planning something that would be dangerous to the greater good? Caudicus was an amyr poisoning him in order to make sure that he's to sick to start a war.

or

Caudicus works for baron Jakis who's trying to kill everyone ahead of him in the succession. There was that family that was ahead of them that ended up going missing on the sea. It was mentioned that Barron Jakis's lands are called the pirate something. He could have been responsible.

  1. Honestly no fucking clue

  2. Grey stones
