Let's stop Amazon from blocking their apps on Android devices

You buy the video through play, after which you may stream it.

My point is that it's a Google store. The issue with the fire TV stuff is that it is a fork of android. Amazon does not want to be compliant nor install gapps to their hardware- this has been the case since the first Kindle fire.

Essnetially, Google is letting them make money off of open source based android, without the Google compliance. It's the same as any generic Chinese tablet or cheaper android device that doesn't worry about official compliance to cut corners.

Ordinarily you could side load gapps but with the case of the Amazon fire products, all of this is an intentional move to make their own walled garden.

It's a little more complicated than Google not allowing their apps on the fire line. I'm sure they would love if amazon wanted to allow gapps on their devices. They already allow play videos on the apple tv, for chrissake.

The issue is that amazon made android into their own OS and refuses to allow themselves to let Google allow them to support their services.

It's essentially the same as if I made a design for a car, then let everyone else use your design to sell their own cars. But at the same time, if you want my brand of radio in your car, I have some requirements that need to be met in order to ensure the people using my services have a standard experience, so that I can make sure my brand is not damaged by poor craftsmanship, etc.

So, say you take my design, modify it beyond recognition to support your radio and everyone elses BUT mine; even going so far as to make deals with other radio makers to make sure they are in your cars, and putting the same effort into preventing anyone from using my radio in your car.
