Lets stop teaching these concepts of an eternal hell where our loving creator passes us to a demon to torture us forever

Yeah no prob. I ended up in that thread only because I was going through this extreme religious zealots profile (the one that quoted revelations and many other scriptures) and the title happened to catch my eye. Hell caused a lot of conflict within me so I try to help. Though I eventually ended up an atheist but then again I never really believed in the first place. I think some people really just are too skeptical to believe something without proof. Unitarian churches are great though. So are christian universalist churches. They know love and acceptance. They know they could be wrong and be punished for judging god. But they keep believing in universal love anyway. I doubt belief is a standard he uses anyways. People think of him as jealous (though he does say his name is jealous) and cruel while also maintaining that he is love. I've never understood the OT god being anything like what Jesus described. I'd probably be a Marcionite if that was still a thing. but maybe this is all about recognizing the evil of the hell doctrine and do whatever needs to be done to reconcile that. Maybe the hell thumpers will learn some empathy but not with violence but understanding. Maybe some strong words, a dash of fear, and then compassion. I don't know. I don't know is the best answer when something is not known. I don't know. Not sure why I'm writing this. Guess I'm just using you as a place to think my thoughts. The thoughts of a heretic, unasked for. Don't feel like you have to respond, but i figure since I typed it I might as well send it. Learning to let go of a creation is for the Zen B. but I don't agree with it. The ability to disagree with mainstream thought is something not many practice, and acknowledging ignorance almost never. Have a good night and sorry if I took up your time.
