Let's talk about COVID tests, how we choose whom to test.

Great post. You say it's not as bad as people think and that we're lucky. You blame the media and social media for overhyping the risk. You say the panic and fear will be our downfall. Does this mean you think the measures being put into effect here and elsewhere are overreacting? Do you disagree with the assessments of how bad things could get if we don't practice the current social distancing measures? If flattening the curve necessary to prevent overwhelming our healthcare system?

I ask because you are speaking as an authority here (a doctor) and seem to be saying a lot to discourage people from listening to the advice from the CDC by saying it's not as big a deal of people think. Many people out there are looking for people like you to say everyone is overreacting to justify not following the guidelines. You don't mention them at all, or why they are still important.

I don't want people to get the wrong idea. Thank you for all the work you're doing. Please stay healthy!
