Let's talk about the price increase for PS5 games

I stopped buying new games last generation when they went from 50usd to 60usd. A further markup means I'll be spending even less. The argument that games need to increase in price because it "costs more to make games now" is absurd and stupid. Its a surface level thought that doesn't actually get into any analysis of the industry. The reality is and always will be, the price increase is for profit increase to satisfy shareholders. AAA Gaming companies have been making millions and billions in profits for decades. And that's not even getting into the nitty gritty of analysis on company financials and wastage.

There's a reason we've been in an indie boom for the last 10 or so years.
