Let's see what you can get from one of my bookshelves.

I read the other comment already so I’ll try to ignore things that you already confirmed. Here are my best guesses, from the top of the bookcase down:

Top Shelf

Candlestick, lanterns, and a candle. You like candles but since there isn't one in the stick and the one candle looks brand new, you don’t light/use them very often. Them being on the top shelf would also compliment this idea, however, the bookcase itself looks short.

Next Shelf

Looks like the “easy access” shelf. That black thing looks like a purse so I’ll guess you are a woman. Since its black, you work at some formal place. Can’t tell what the plate is on the front of it is, maybe an animal. Looks like a rock on the chain, maybe a good luck charm? I would think slightly superstitious from this. It looks like there is outgoing mail to the right of the purse. With this and the purse, I’ll guess that this bookcase is close to your front door. Grab purse and any other things that you put there the night before as you walk out. The bookcase in a corner though, so this might be wrong. Don’t know what to make of the tin or the pot thing. Maybe something to do with my idea of the “easy access” and they contain something you use every day and grab as you walk out.

Next Shelf

Not the “easy access” shelf but the next to easiest, so you occasionally use these items. You have some kind of Asian influence, I would guess Chinese, not sure. You like tea, can’t tell what type that is in the back, looks like a non-English brand. Two teacups, you live with someone, maybe significant other. You can see that the dust is wiped off on the right side of the shelf so you use these often.

Bottom Shelf

You like to read but since the books are on the bottom shelf you don’t read them often or you have already read all of them. My guess is the latter. Here’s my breakdown on the books, from the right.

  • No idea what that first book is.

  • “The Covers” tells me you like meaningful pictures and/or history.

  • The next two books are on linguistics. Likes to learn about language.

  • Can’t tell what that green book is, but it’s upside down. You’re not a perfectionist, but you like a little bit of order (all English books to the right, Danish to the left).

  • Big brown book: A compilation of three books by William Thackeray that revolve around British history. This compliment’s you liking history.

  • “DC Action Comic # 894: Death in Action!” There’s a female lead, that maybe compliments you being a female, but that’s a stretch.

  • “Bend Sinister”: A dystopian fiction book written in English by a Russian. This is interesting because most of the other books here are historical/non-fiction. This maybe plays into your interest in languages and how people communicate. I’m also going to go out on a limb and say you've read “1984” before (but really, who hasn't?).

  • “To the Lighthouse”: Novel by Virginia Woolf. Another British book, philosophical in nature. Maybe likes philosophy, or maybe just a good read, not sure.

  • All Danish books were already taken care of in another comment.

Owl paperweights, favorite animal? Interesting place for a Teavana jar. Either you don’t like that tea or you finished it and wanted to keep the jar. Betting on the latter, they are nice jars. There’s an empty bottle next to the shelf in the second picture. I’ll go with beer bottle, so you occasionally drink. This also compliments this bookcase being close to your front door, recycling area maybe. I really can’t tell what that green thing is in front of the bottle. They almost look like shoes but the part closest to the camera is throwing me. Maybe a bag, I don’t know for sure.

Overall impression

The shelf is really short, like not even 4 feet tall. Position of the photo puts the camera right at the “easy access” shelf, so I’m guessing you’re around the 5 foot range. I think you speak at least 3 languages, maybe not all fluently, English, Danish, and an Asian dialect. I’m going to go with British for nationality, living in............ Great Britain? Denmark would be an easy trip then. Items on the shelves are relatively sparse, so not a messy person.

That was fun. This was actually my first time doing one of these. I would not be surprised if a lot of these are wrong haha.
