Letting go of emotions

I would just be aware of that voice and continue to go deeper. If you genuinely did just move on that's totally fine, there is not expectation for you to hold on to things or suffer to certain degrees or anything. You are who you are and there is no shame in that.

In the case that you did genuinely disassociate from those feeling then they will eventually surface again. Traumatic or repressed memories/emotions remain stored in the subconscious and the nervous system, they don't dis-appear and re-appear at will. So, if they need to be processed or re-reconciled they will eventually come up in your practice when the time is right. You don't need to actively bring them up or hunt them down because conceptually you think they should be there, if they need to be processed it will happen on its own.

So keep practicing and keep challenging yourself to become more and more truthfully embodied. If you genuinely did just move on then that's fine, if that energy needs to be processed you will very obviously know when the time is right.
